When sauce residue lands on the inside of the pouch opening before sealing, it sits between the seal bar and the bag film. The heat seal cannot bond through liquid or paste contamination. The result is a weak seal that may hold initially but fails under pressure during transport or storage.

A premade pouch liquid filling machine addresses these challenges through a controlled, station-based process that separates bag handling, filling, and sealing into distinct, repeatable steps.

The process begins with automatic bag feeding. Pouches are loaded into a magazine and picked one at a time by the machine. Each bag is opened by suction cups and confirmed open before the filling nozzle descends. This prevents dry fills and ensures the nozzle enters the bag correctly on every cycle.

The liquid filling station uses a piston filler, peristaltic pump, or gear pump depending on the product viscosity and required fill accuracy. Anti-drip nozzle design is standard on machines intended for sauce and liquid applications — the nozzle retracts cleanly after dispensing, cutting off flow without leaving a tail or drip on the pouch mouth. For products with high stringing tendency, a nozzle with a suck-back function draws residual product back into the nozzle body before retraction.

After filling, the pouch moves to the sealing station. The seal bar closes on a clean, uncontaminated pouch mouth and applies heat and pressure for a set dwell time. The Connection Between Dripping and Seal Failure

Seal failure in liquid pouch packaging is almost always traceable to contamination at the pouch mouth. Understanding this connection is important for buyers evaluating filling equipment, because the filling system — not the sealing system — is usually where the problem originates.

When a filling nozzle drips after dispensing, the liquid falls onto the inside surface of the pouch opening. Depending on the product viscosity, it may run down the inner wall or pool at the bottom of the opening area. Either way, when the seal bar closes, it contacts a surface that is wet, oily, or coated with product residue.

Heat sealing works by melting and fusing the inner film layers of the pouch together under pressure. Liquid or paste between the film layers prevents this fusion from occurring uniformly. The seal may appear intact visually but contains micro-gaps or unbonded zones that fail when the pouch is squeezed, dropped, or subjected to temperature change during shipping.

Leakage from failed seals creates downstream problems beyond the immediate product loss. Leaked sauce contaminates adjacent pouches in the carton. It triggers rework — pouches must be identified, removed, and either refilled or discarded. In retail distribution, a leaking pouch that reaches the shelf generates returns, complaints, and potential delisting from the account.

The packaging appearance is also affected. Even when a contaminated seal holds, sauce residue on the outside of the seal area leaves a dirty, unprofessional finish. For premium sauce brands or products sold in transparent pouches, this appearance issue is commercially significant.

What Buyers Should Confirm Before Ordering
